Only one thing is certain: the Sicilian superintendent was kidnapped by the wanted mafia boss Gaetano Sansone, who is nowhere to be found. The trial of the hawkish Alberto Lenzi, suspended from duty pending sentencing, continues: a new witness claims to have seen the officer shoot an unarmed football fan. Vitale assembles the hawkish team to investigate the life of the star witness, with no criminal record.
